Remote Learning

Remote Learning Provision (PDF)

INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS SELF-ISOLATING:

If you are self-isolating, work will be set via Microsoft Teams Assignments from the 2nd day after notifying the school of self-isolation. You must check your school email at the start of your isolation period which will outline:

• the expectations for remote learning
• contact details if you require support

You must follow the usual school timetable when completing the work set (see your planner for lesson timings).

IN THE EVENT OF A SCHOOL CLOSURE, LOCAL LOCKDOWN OR WHOLE CLASSES REMOTELY LEARNING:

Live lessons will take place using Microsoft Teams – you must join each lesson via your calendar on Teams. Check your email in the event of a school closure, local lockdown or whole classes remotely learning which will outline:

• the expectations for remote learning
• contact details if you require support

You must follow the usual school timetable when completing the work set (see your planner for lesson timings).

Students can also use the following range of resources which can be used to extend their learning:

• Doddle – Students are able to access online resources to support their learning without staff setting tasks. This includes presentations, worksheets and quizzes
• Seneca Learning – Subject content and quizzes for various subject areas
• Mathswatch – all students are familiar with this website, and have access to the site
• BBC Bitesize – used by many subjects for revision of content, and useful for all year groups.
• Revisions guides and workbooks students have for various subject areas
• Knowledge organisers
