World War I Heritage Trail Event
The History Department was pleased to be a part of the World War I Heritage Trail event organised by Ismail Dale and Historic England. 15 girls were able to experience what it might have been like to be a new recruit in 1915 including signing up, training from a drill sergeant, and hearing from an army medic. They were also able to visit the Leicester City War Memorials Project at All Saints Church and learn how the women of Leicester supported the soldiers from the Home Front.
We look forward to taking even more students next year.
