Importance of Mathematics for future careers & Numeracy Week activities (Mathematics - 25/05/2022)

As part of the Mathematic department activities on the importance of Maths for future Careers, our ex-student Shamia Sanjania delivered a talk to students of her journey from Madani to pursuing a career in Mathematics. Her talk included maths related careers from Actuary to Medical Statistics and the importance of Mathematics in our everyday life.

Numeracy week: The department celebrated Numeracy week through a variety of fun activities. Pupils had a great time making milkshakes by applying their knowledge of ratio and proportion. They worked in teams to derive recipes and combinations before enjoying the milkshakes with some doughnuts.

Year groups also went head-to-head to compete in quizzes and relay races. Pupils went back and forth in teams to complete maths problems.
