Careers Week
Guiding our students onto their next steps after they leave us is a huge part of what we do, and why we do it.
We were thrilled to deliver careers-based lessons in science. and invite a variety of speakers in to discuss their own exciting career paths with our students. This provided a platform where students could ask searching questions about the world of work, and the steps needed to get to certain careers.
Students heard about the career journeys of a local NHS pharmacist and an NHS nurse, as well as a lecturer in biological fieldwork and ecology from the University of Leicester. They were also addressed by a female Corporal from the RAF who spoke with students about joining the armed forces
