International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day - 8th March 2022 (Science - 07/06/2022)

Being a girls’ school and being passionate about STEM meant that this day was a great cause for celebration. In lessons we shone a spotlight on the lives and work of some stellar characters who have excelled in their scientific fields, and whom our students could relate to and be inspired by.

We learned about the lives and work of Dr. Hayat Sindi, a scientific entrepreneur who won awards from MIT and Harvard Business School, and Dr. Tahani Amer, a physicist and engineer who works for NASA. Students explored how the passion, hard work and success of these women related to our own school's HEART values. Students discussed how our school's HEART values are pivotal in helping them achieve great things in life, too.
